Make me up

It's been quite a while since I last updated my blog here. I've been mainly updating my tumblr lately (way too much) I think I might be a little addicted to all the pretty pictures there, haha.

Anyway, most of my posts have been about my outfits and clothes so I figured it'd be fun to share some of my latest makeup looks with you guys for a change! Back in the days I used to post this kind of stuff all the time, oh the memories... First, Valentine's Day! I wore pink, even though it's one of my least favorite colors. Also wore that new short wig of mine for the first time.

Aaaaand then there's the fox. I really don't know how to explain this one. It just happened..

I really love doing this kind of looks, even though it's not quite "everyday makeup".. even for me.

I'm especially into this kind of fairy tale and animal characters, like the mermaid look I posted a while ago! Too bad there isn't any actual reason for me to carry these looks. Maybe I'll just practice for the next Halloween..?

There's also been some not-so-inspired days when I just do basic smokey eyes without any extra like circle lenses or false lashes. Actually I don't wear false lashes that much anymore, maybe couple times a month.. Maybe I'm getting old or something, but I'm starting to like my own lashes and eyecolor much more than usual, haha..

Very classic look from few days ago. I just love that new lipstick from Lunatick Cosmetic Labs. It's perfect for dark looks like this one! I think this looks a bit witchy, even though I wasn't going for that. It's pretty cool though!

Then there was a weird day, again. I just felt like doing something frosty, and this is what happened. I really liked those white eyelashes though, might try them again soon. I don't actually own a white mascara, but I used white facepaint on them..

The lack of black was a bit uncomfortable since I usually wear heavy liner or very dark makeup otherwise.

And finally here's today's look. Very simple, nothing special. Pretty much the best I could do with three hours of sleep. My hair looks silly now that it's growing out, haha.. Hopefully it will grow fast so I could tame it to stay in one shape for more than two minutes..

I've been quite happy with the orange color though. It's a bit hard to wear certain colors with it, but it brings out nicely my eyecolor and complexion.

Have a great day!

Everybody wants to be a cat

Holy meow!

Yesterday I received an adorable gift from Geocolouredlenses! I got the whole new Holi Cat collection for a review, and I was super excited to try them!

Instagram collage of me wearing all the lenses.
Hazel, Grey, Choco, Blue and Brown!

The first thing you probably notice is the new haircolor. I went from my natural dark brown to bright orange last night. Such a nice change. Even though the color came out a bit brighter than I hoped for.

Anyway, back to the lenses! First I'm going to show you the Barbie Hazel ones as they became my instant new favorite. I really love the light yellowish brown color. They look kinda scary though, haha. Reminds me a bit of those lenses the Cullens wear on Twilight movies.. or maybe it's just the orange hair? Can't really say. Also they are very comfy and give a great amount of enlargement effect. Perfect!

Then the Sexy Gray ones.. Well, I think they might be the prettiest gray lenses I have ever seen, even though the color is not a true gray and the lenses are very dark. They appear as black or dark blue in indoor lighting, which can be a positive or a negative thing depending on you, lol. The pattern on them is really beautiful.

Next ones are called the Cutie Brown. These are totally cute, they make my eyes appear huge even though all the lenses on this series are the same size. They don't blend too well with my own eyecolor, but the pattern and the orangey brown color are just way too adorable. These also became one of my all time favorites.

Then there's Funky Blue lenses. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with these ones since the blue color isn't bright enough for my taste. Also these lenses are pretty dark, so you can't always tell if they are blue or just dark gray. On the ad they look really bright blue on a model who has brown eyes so I was expecting something like that. They are very comfortable and give a great dolly look, but they didn't impress me. Not sure if they would look better in naturally blue eyes though!

And the final ones, Lovely Choco lenses. These are a very natural style without bright colors, patterns or a visible outer ring, so if you wish to go natural, I recommend these! They didn't blend with my own eyecolor though, guess these are meant for brown eyes. I kind of like the effect though, the color is very soft. Don't know if I will wear these as much as the other ones, since they aren't really my style. But very cute overall!

Today I'm wearing just a simple eyeliner look, since the simple eye makeup helps you to see the lenses better. Also I'm wearing my new dark blue Sheinside dress. I think blue looks so cute with the orange hair! Here you can see the haircolor a bit better too. It's not really as red as it appears on most photos. I used Crazy Color's "Coral Red" dye!

And well, I don't really have anything else to write about, so I'll just post some photos from yesterday too. I wore purple glittery makeup. I think it was really pretty, even though it was a bit weird to do this kind of look without heavy eyeliner.

It's a pain in the ass to take photos outside when there's a lot of snow. My photos get so over exposed haha. Anyway, just wanted to show off my new hoodie, which, by the way has an awkward typo on the print.. Anyway it's really warm and comfy (my favorite words this winter) so I have been wearing it a lot.

And look at that awful grey brown hair, hah! My hair has grown a lot lately though.

I posted these shoes on my Instagram already, but they are way too cool to be ignored on my blog!! Most badass shoes this winter, from Mart of China, as usual! I think they are pretty unisex, my roommate actually dreams of shoes like these but they don't come in his size. Poor guy.

I love the overall black look, especially the studs.

That's all for now! Hope you all have a great Valentine's day coming up!

I'm working on a new makeup ideas and such for the future, and maybe I'll do something special for the valentines too, we'll see!

Winter neutrals

It's been a while again. Today I tried a bit different kind of makeup and took very different photos from usual so I decided to share a few here. Also I got some new clothes and shoes in the mail so I also needed to take some outfit photos, haha!

Anyway, I've been sleeping really bad lately. I've had a little series of unfortunate events which include running out of money and depression medicines. Also we were testing out a new sleeping pills for me but they didn't work, as usual, bah. I'm getting my sleeping disorder examined soon though. My doctor thinks there might be something wrong with the part of my brain that causes sleeping. Since I've had sleeping problems since child it's probably something that cannot be cured, but he said it's fascinating, haha. We'll see.

Insomnia causes my eyes appear blood shot every now and then. Currently my left eye is red as the flames of hell so I decided to do a natural makeup look for today. No lenses ofcourse. My eye really isn't irritated or hurt or anything, but I'm very careful when it comes to my eyes and sight so I don't like to risk it.

As I said, I got some new stuff today. I actually have tons of things to take pictures of, since the Chinese new year made all my parcels arrive late and ofcourse, all at the same time.

I needed flat boots for the winter, since it's cold, icy and sometimes you really need to wade in the snow like a penguin. I had my eyes on these same exact boots last year I think, but I never got them since I wasn't too sure if such high knee boots would suit me. I have short legs and I'm not anyhow skinny, haha. Well, I'm glad I got them because they are just perfect! And such a good quality too! These are from Mart of China as usual.

I can't wait to wear these with all sorts of different outfits. I think they will look great with all the military jackets and hats I have. It's a bit weird to wear boots without the usual huge platform, but winter is always like that. Takes time to get used to it. And with these babies it's going to be no problem.
I also got another pair of flat shoes this time but I will save those for the next outfit.

Oh and here's the direct link to the shoes if anyone's interested. I got them in size 39, which is one size bigger than my usual one, and they fit perfect!

Today I wanted to wear something warm and cozy. Big cardigan and a pair of jeans were tempting this cold morning. I really like the cardigan though, the neck part is actually separate, and you can change it up if you feel like it, or use it as a hood/scarf! So fun!

Oh and that blood shot I was talking about. Being all artsy fartsy.
There's a lot of difficult things in my life happening right now, many of them related to my health, but I'm trying my best to keep this blog up and continue doing the things that I do.

There's also a few big positive things coming up, so there's something to look forward to!

I'm more active on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. Even though I mostly post about videogames or pizza. You know, the usual things.

I think we all find mermaids interesting and mysterious.. but for some reason people tend to have very different images of mermaids. Nowadays most girls think of them as cute, pastel, long haired princesses. I've always thought mermaids are creepy as fuck. So yeah, today I created a mermaid makeup from my own head.

I'm actually really afraid of the underwater but it fascinates me. Especially sharks and all types of deep-water creatures have my attention. I wanted to mix sharks and mermaids, since they both crave for the flesh of the man, hah.

This is actually my first time using facepaints for such look. I used light and dark blue water based colors from Grimas. The outcome wasn't very smooth though, so I also used various blue eyeshadows and glitters to finish the skin.

I used red lip liner around my tear duct, and also put on red lipstick to add contrast.

It's been a while since my last full-face look. It was really a lot of fun to create this new character. I wish my skin was naturally blue.
